Outpatient mental health care

Outpatient mental health care refers to intensive behavioral health services that do not require an overnight hospital stay. Outpatient care offers the benefits of psychological treatment while also allowing you to return home each day.

Outpatient psychiatric centers in Florida

It's difficult to make time to take care of ourselves, especially when it means we have to take time out of our daily lives, away from our homes and families.

This can be even more difficult when it comes to our mental health. However, the behavioral health specialists at HCA Florida Healthcare can make it easier — through the support and community of our mental health programs. These allow you to take minimal time away from your life, spending the nights at home, while receiving the expert care you deserve.

Intensive outpatient program (IOP)

IOPs offer the highest level of outpatient mental health treatment. They typically include multiple group sessions per day and one-on-one meetings with a psychiatrist. The program will focus on coping skills, setting and meeting goals and your overall mental wellness. In all of our IOPs, you'll find safe, therapeutic environments and kind, knowledgeable staff.

You may benefit from our IOPs as a first step in your mental health care journey. You may also find an IOP useful as either a step up after receiving regular outpatient services or as a step down after participating in an inpatient mental health program. Whatever reason you have for joining one of our IOPs, our teams are here to help you make changes that enable you to take control of your own life.
